We rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home abused, neglected, and abandoned dogs as well as farm animals. Working in cooperation with HART and other local organizations we provide our service to animals in need in Virginia and beyond. We rehabilitate providing the veterinary attention, nutrition, training, maintenance care, and nurture to each animal who enters the farm. While fostering, we network to find loving and forever homes to each animal based on the best match of people, personalities, and facilities. Eventually, we would love to become a wildlife rehabilitation certified center - opening our farm to any creature in need.
HOW WE GOT HERE
Our first dog, Rufus, was adopted from the rescue organization HART in 2009 just before Moira graduated from James Madison University (Go Dukes!) and a few months before meeting Graham. Once we moved to our own place, we adopted our second dog Rocky from HART in 2011. (Of course, Rufus picked him out.) We are forever grateful for those that rescued, fostered, and allowed us to adopt our amazing dogs. In this spirit of gratitude we began fostering and rescuing as soon as we were able and have been continually doing so since 2013. We have learned a lot about what it takes to rescue these animals and each one has a unique history and personality, but each time we find them amazing homes, we could not be happier.
FOSTERS AND ADOPTIONS
Fostering saves lives and it is absolutely amazing to save a life. We continually foster animals in need while getting to know their unique personalities, allowing us to find the perfect fit for their forever home. Reach out to us if you'd like to learn more about a rescue, want to adopt, or you're interested in fostering.
